While we used to recommend this antenna, it seems that manufacturing quality control has changed. SWR plots are regularly testing at 2.5-3 and ground planes do not resolve the issue.

Notes from test

Tested on a 20cm disc ground plane. The match improves over the no-ground-plane sweep but still sits around 2:1 VSWR across the band, so a ground plane helps but does not fully resolve the mismatch.
